Jay Z: " A Genius Leaves The Hood"

The Master...

Last Night as I watched Jay Z on the OWN Network talk about his life experiences, I started to get motivated even more and pumped up about life when he talked about things that happened to him. His story and his dream is so motivating and inspirational, that it makes you want to do so much that you dream of doing all at one time. I have been a huge fan of Jay's since his Reasonable Doubt album, released on June 25, 1996, by Roc-A-Fella Records and Priority Records. It features production by DJ Premier, Ski, Knobody and Clark Kent, and guest appearances from Memphis Bleek, Mary J. Blige, and The Notorious  B.I.G., among others. Reasonable Doubt features Mafioso rap themes and gritty lyrics about the "hustler" lifestyle and material obsessions.
The album peaked at number 23 on the US Billboard 200, on which it charted for 18 weeks. It was promoted with four singles, including the Hot 100-charting "Ain't No Nigga" and "Can't Knock the Hustle". Reasonable Doubt has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and, as of 2006, has sold 1.5 million copies in the United States.

" I'M FEELIN IT, FEEL THE LEX PUSHIN UP ON THE SET" . (I had to add that :-)

Jay Z also has a 60 minute documentary coming out March 19th, 2014

About The Film

On the surface, A Genius Leaves The Hood: The Unauthorized Story of Jay Z chronicles how hip-hop’s most successful rapper of the past two decades reached the top; but at its core, the film attempts to divulge the savvy and cunning business acumen of a mogul who decided that being at the top of the charts wasn’t enough. This 60-minute unauthorized biography explores the mind of a man who never played by the rules and admits it.  ( Moguldom Films)

Let's take a look at some footage from the documentary...

Enjoy!
