Fashion History
Giuseppe Zanotti
Giuseppe Zanotti comes from San Mauro Pascoli, Italy, a town a few hours from Milan, famous for its long-established shoemaking tradition. Passionate about music, Zanotti spent the early '80s as a DJ frequenting avant-garde nightspots. Music was then and continues to be his greatest source of inspiration. It was not long before his passion for women's footwear and Italian craftsmanship led him to the fashion world. After years as a freelancer, Zanotti longed for the freedom to create his own label. Giuseppe Zanotti Design celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and has expanded beyond footwear to include bags and jewelry. Zanotti's creative flair is not limited to the women's market but also includes a flourishing men's line, Giuseppe Zanotti Homme. Most recently, the label launched a ready-to-wear capsule made entirely out of leather, Zanotti's signature material. Regardless of the endeavor, Zanotti stays true to himself and his distinct DNA: innovative designs deeply rooted in the rich tradition of craftsmanship. Each creation is a blend of innocence and rock 'n' roll with a touch of Italian heritage.
