Spring Color Pop
Pastels and Brights...
Ok so lately I've been playing around with lipstick color from the brand Urban Decay and I love their brand. I recently tried the color Nude 2 , a dark merlot shade and a coral for the spring for a pop of color. I usually just apply a nude shimmer lip gloss from Sally's Beauty Supply, a gold bronze powder, Iman cream to powder foundation from Walgreen's which is great for my brown complextion and for my everyday look, along with gold eye shadow, and black eyeliner.
Some of the Spring 2016 fashion shows suggested a no-makeup makeup. Chanel models dusted on mask of icy blue or a sea-foam palette. On melanin skin or darker skin tones, I think pastels and brights tend to stand out more. If your're looking for more of a softer tone then go with a pastel because it tends to give you more of a girly look, where as brights can be more edgy and add spunk to any look.
I also have a love hate relationship with nail polish. I love polishing my nails when I'm in the mood for it but it pains me when my polish chips ugghhh, I promise you it ruins my whole day! Am I the only one who feels this way? So the majority of the time I make sure I have a natural manicure with a clear top coat of OPI polish on my nails. Clear goes with anything. This season the color trend is peach and electric orange which I agree are the perfect tones for the Spring. Some of the best brands are Whim, OPI and Butter London Nail Lacquer. The colors are rich and creamy and are top notch brands.
Which brands are you going to try this season?
From top: Make Up For Ever Aqua XL eye pencils; Tarte Clay Pot shadow liner; and MAC x Chris Chang eye shadow.
Clockwise from top: Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro; Sally Hansen Miracle Gel; and Whim Nail Lacquer.
From top: Dior Addict Milky Tint; Chosungah 22 So Tiny Lip & Cheek; and Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid.
