Season to come...


I always try to stay up to date with the latest trends for up and coming seasons. Today I want to talk about fall shoe trends for 2014. I know we are headed into spring but let's get a head start on what to look for this coming fall.

My decision on what brand to talk about was Chloe. One reason I love the brand is because of it's clean lines and timeless style. You can invest in a piece of Chloe' and have it for the rest of your life. Some people are afraid to invest in one expensive piece, but I say do it! You'll have that shoe, jacket, hat, or dress for the rest of your life. Let's take a look at some of my favorite Chloe shoe pics for the 2014 fall season.

Diana Ross

Glamour Icon...

Happy Birthday to Legendary Glamour Icon, Ms. Diana Ross! An icon of glamour and style with elegance is celebrating her birthday today. I must say she is truly a legend in the eyes of most. She has, over the course of her career earned a Golden Globe, a Tony, and a few American Music Awards, and was also nominated for a dozen Grammys. She didn't win her first Lifetime Achievement Award- until 2012. Diana has also had several rolls in movies such as, The Wiz, Lady Sings The Blues, Mahogany and Double Platinum.

In 1988 Ross was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Supremes. She has also graced the cover of many magazines, representing strong black woman to the fullest extent.

Single Ladies

3 Fabulous Gals...


I'm sad to hear that the hit series Single Ladies on Vh1 is going to be cancelled. But none the less I have to talk about the amazing fashion these ladies wore this season. Raquel, April and my girl Keisha killed it this season, wearing bright bold colors , high waisted pencil skirts and textured pieces. All of these things inspired me for the season.  Raquel added a lot of feminine touches to her wardrobe with a modern flare. Keisha is always about business when it comes to her everyday look, and April adds a little bit of fun to her business attire. These gals keep their style sophisticated and classy at all times and the fashion is always consistant.

Well hopefully we will be surprised with another season in the future with more beautiful and glamarous fashion trends.Show stylist and fashion designer Anthony L. Williams once again opens up his closet to reveal the labels and designers he used to outfit the cast. (Of course some of the outfits worn are his own creation as well.)

Rhythm Nation Of Prints

Variety...



Lets talk about variety, two or three prints that have their own story is an unexpected arrangement that's fierce and challenging. This season you will see a lot of mixed pallets as one of the trends for this season. As we approach spring with fresh new styles, lets not be afraid to think outside the box with color and mixing prints. I find it to be edgy but yet sophisticated and its making a statement that says "I'm not afraid to live a little."

Pastels...


This season it looks like we are going to have a swarm of pastel colors floating around in the streets. For Fashion Week there were lots of pastel garments hitting the runways. I love soft, romantic colors that make the mood humble and easy. If you're looking for ideas for a gown or cocktail dress for a day time event that has flounce and grace, don't hesitate to get inspired by the gowns you see below.
