PNO- Plus Night Out
By: JaTawn
Plus Night Out, the only "plustastical" event during NYFW was shown on September 6th, 2014. This show brings out all divas that dress to the nine with anticipation of seeing great fashions for the full figured woman. Sponsored by Ashley Stewart, PNO didn't disappoint. This year's participates were designers Qristyl Frazier Designs, Sydney's Closet, Tru Diva and many more.
Jovanna Reyes, the Creator of PNO is also a gifted photographer, publisher and the soul purpose of filling a niche' in the industry that has been forgotten. Ashley Stewart and Ideel were also some of the sponsors.
After the fashion show, there was an award ceremony and modeling contract to Bicoastal Models in NY given out to winner Wema Enofe. Also in attendance were Teen Plus Pageant winner Mackenzie Barnes with her beautiful mother Leslee and Plus USA winner Apriel Biggs.
Enjoy!
So let me start off by saying I'm a huge fan of jumpers and rompers, to start off with the photos I chose this fashionable diva who strutted her stuff down the runway at the PNO fashion show, wearing a camel colored deep V jump suit with a grey peep toe sandal. I love that the designer made the pants longer in length for us tall girls, it's so hard to find pants that are long enough, so kudos to the designer!
This jumper is my favorite because of the multi colored print that's detailed in it's design. This diva walked the runway in style with a nude T strap platform pump that gave this a powerful look and runway ready
Fall is definitely here, with over sized sweaters as the trend this season. Large sweaters are the thing to rock now and for the future. I love how they are paired up with leggings and a pointed toe pump. Another way to style an over sized sweater is to wear it with a skinny or boot cut jeans and and ankle boots
Can we say " LONG LEATHER GLOVES" I adore these red gloves. They make such a statement to any look. These are must haves in any wardrobe for the Fall and Winter months
This divalicious babe came through with white lace for days, paired with a wide leather belt to cinch in the waist. I always tell woman if you want to create that hour glass look wear a skinny or wide belt to give your waist line more definition to add character to your look
Uniformed and sexy with a two piece skirt and crop top with plaid detailing is a show stopper. This look can also be worn may different way, such as rocking the crop top with a pair of high waisted skinny or flared jeans, and the skirt can be worn with a sexy knee boot, black turtle neck and a cropped leather jacket this season- Love Love Love this look!

I call this look " Couture Fresh". This model floats down the runway in one shoulder strap white gown with gorgeous detailing on her waist line. She definitely ready for a night on the red carpet
Dipped in luscious lace has always been sexy like this look on the runway that can be worn to any evening event. If you love accessories add a silk or cashmere shawl to cover your shoulders for those cold atmospheres
Happy in green, yes green is such a happy color. This vivacious model look amazing and to top it of her red tones in her her gave it that extra pop, great choice
Last but not least for PNO also showed a sexy red strapless gown with a sparkling detail on the waist that's picture perfect ready for any event

David created two beautiful suits with black and white embroidery. I also love the black and white bow he added to give it more character
He used some if the most beautiful models for his show. My favorite is all black as well but Davis added a pop color to each piece that gave the collection that extra flare
All of David's designs are beautiful and I hope to see more and more from him
PLY
By: JaTawn
PLY is for the woman size 14-24 that craves elegance and fashion, and doesn't want to comprimise. The company is located in New York and was founded by Lamar and Pamela Nanton. A creative couple whose history of fit fashion makes the perfect fashion union. On September 7th, 2014 PLY Spring/Summer 2015 Ready To Wear Collection was presented in their PLY Apparel showroom to press and bloggers. The split sleeve jackets were my favorite and black dress with pockets. The added touches were the accessories be designer Natalia Danilova for Avolinadny.
Some pieces offer a hint of pink that is very subtle and I was informed by Lamarr Nanton that the company works with manufacturers in the US and PLY donates a percentage of its profits to support the fight againts breast cancer.

You can never go wrong with a classic black and whit suit, this piece is a must have in every woman's wardrobe
Taking fashion and design to another level is what these designers did at NYFW. A pleated skirt is a must have in a woman's closet as well, this look can be worn to the office or a to a luncheon, and let's not forget about the heels this model is wearing, those take the cake!
Capes have also become a new trend this season, rocking them with gowns, skirts or dressing them down with denim is a must for the Fall/Winter season
True Pink has always been a feminine color to wear, Like the model above is wearing a pink sheath dress that works for any body type. Also to give a sheath dress more shape don't be afraid to add a belt around your waist
I love this black and white cocktail dress, along with the accessories that were styled with look.
The designers did an amazing job showing their looks this season, I'm excited to see more in the future
