The Tommy John Style Challenge Featuring: Michael B Jordan for the Oscars 2016

2016 Oscars...

As you all know the Oscars are right around the corner and it's time for red carpet reviews on who's the best and worst dressed for this dynamic occasion.

There is one man whom I have chosen to style on my blog for this event, and who else could it be but the grand actor himself who recently stared in the fire ball movie "Creed"
Actor
Michael B. Jordan.

If there is one thing that matters the most for men when dressing for a big event is how comfortable they are underneath the suit or tux they're wearing. When on the red carpet paparazzi are swarming all over the place and it's very important that you're not tugging and pulling; trying to tuck in your shirt, or fix your pants because you have a man wedgie. Included in the style challenge you will see a couple of suggested pieces from Tommy John that help to keep man parts and clothing in tact while being interviewed on the red carpet.

Enjoy!

Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith boycott the Oscars

Overdue...

In today's celebrity news and I'm sure you all have heard that Director Spike Lee and Actress Jada Pinkett Smith have decided to boycott the Oscars. After the outcry over 20 nominations of white actors, and no black ones for up and coming Academy Awards gained momentum on Monday- Martin Luther King's birthday- as the director and actress announced that they wouldn't be attending the ceremony on February 28th. Spike made a comment on instagram asking

" how is it possible that there are no nominations of black actors for the second year running"

After he announced that neither him nor his wife would be attending the awards, Spike wrote,
"Dr. King said, "There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but he must take it because conscience tells him it's right."

Enjoy!

Over The weekend Jada made a video on social media making a statement if any blacks should or members of other minorities should attend the Oscars.

"People can only treat us in the way in which we allow"
- Jada Pinkett Smith

Personally I agree with the two for taking a stand against the Oscars, this is well over due.

Michelle Obama: Last State Of Union

A Ray Of Sunshine...

Last night while looking for the latest celebrity news, I happened to come across Michelle Obama wearing a dazzling Fall 2015 Narciso Rodriguez wool crepe midi gold dress. Now we all know the First Lady never disappoints us with her garment choices when appearing on national television, so I'm not surprised at her choice for Tuesday night.

Simply Chic!

Enjoy!

Beauty Grunge

Mad Beauty...

Who knew that the messy grunge look could be so beautiful. Do you remember the movie Mad Max: Fury Road
This movie came out last year and it was epic. It was nominated for two Golden Globes including best picture. The movie had a dynamic cast of woman with natural beauty in the film, like Zoe Kravitz  who rocked a sexy boy cut and Charlize Theron's cute crop.
Below you'll see five Mad Max beauty moments that went from the big screen to mainstream.
Who knew that the grunge look could be so sexy?
